Sopan Khosla (Cargenie Mellon University)

Sopan Khosla is an incoming PhD student (presently a second-year Master’s student) in the Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He is interested in coreference resolution, discourse modelling, information extraction from conversations, and applications of NLP to healthcare. Previously, Sopan completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, where he was awarded the Director’s Gold Medal for Outstanding All-round Achievement. Before joining CMU, he worked as a Research Engineer at Adobe Research India for two years. He has filed 10+ patents and has multiple publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences (NAACL, EMNLP, AAAI, SocInfo).
